Dima Kolibabchuk
I've spent 11 years building PHP backends for systems where downtime costs money — payment flows, a B2B marketplace at go-live, and now AI pipelines processing thousands of hours of lecture audio.
Right now I'm a Senior Software Engineer at Jamworks, an AI learning platform used across higher education. I work on the backend that turns raw lecture recordings into transcripts, summaries, quizzes and searchable knowledge: Laravel services, queued job chains, vector search, and the AWS infrastructure holding it together.
Before that, systems where the backend was the hard part:
→ METRO Markets — key contributor to the 2019 go-live of METRO's B2B marketplace (via DataArt)
→ tickets.ua / kissandfly.com — payment team at one of EMEA's largest travel distribution networks
→ GlobalLogic, Ergonized, VizualTech — e-commerce and web platforms end to end, from design through post-release support
What I'm good at:
→ Designing Laravel/PHP services that are still maintainable in year three
→ Data-layer decisions — MySQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis — and the queues between them
→ Putting LLM and AI workflows into production systems, not demos
→ Working directly with English-speaking clients: daily standups, technical interviews, distributed international teams
Stack: PHP · Laravel · Lumen · PHPUnit / Pest · MySQL · PostgreSQL · MongoDB · Elasticsearch · Redis · RabbitMQ · AWS (Lambda, S3, SQS) · Docker · Nginx · REST APIs · OpenAPI · Domain-Driven Design · CI/CD
I'm based in Odesa and have worked remotely with UK and EU teams for years, so distributed is the default, not the exception.
